Amy Cova, Founder and Co-Artistic Director of Mise en Place Dance (established in 2009) has been an adjunct faculty member and/or guest artist at numerous institutions, including University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University, Grand Valley State University, Wayne State University and Oakland University. Additionally she has taught for Blue Lake International Fine Arts Camp, MPulse’s Summer Dance Institute, Performing Arts Dance Theatre, MOVE! and Summer Discovery.
She has performed in works by many notable choreographers including Laura Dean, Alan Good, Daniel Gwirtzman, Rennie Harris, Peter Sparling and Ginger Thatcher. Ms. Cova has performed and choreographed for commercial and industrial productions including, MTV, E!, ABC’s Dance Fever, the NFL, and Cadillac Motor Company.
Her choreography has been presented internationally in Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica and Italy. Most recently, Ms. Cova’s choreography has been presented at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center, The Alvin Ailey Studio Theatre, Triskelion Arts, The John Ryan Theatre, The University of Michigan and The Detroit Institute of the Arts.
